Our story begins in 2013. Back when David was quietly enjoying his bachelor lifestyle..

...and Emma was 20 and only a spring chicken.

Despite being over an hour late for their first date, Emma quickly falls head over heels in love..

..and David was just as smitten with her!

They've travelled together..

..embraced different cultures..

..and new cuisines. This often now presents itself as weekly demands for Thai food and Sushi.

They have enjoyed 5 Christmases together..

David enjoys buying presents almost as much as Emma likes taking them back.

It quickly becomes clear Emma is the brains of the operation..

..whereas David is the mature one.

In 2015, they buy their dream first house..

..along with all the essential appliances..

..Holly and Hal the kittens make things into a proper little family.

David eventually realises Emma is a keeper, since she is really low maintenance..

..and is always in a good mood..

..so in June 2017, over a glass of wine in Seattle, he pops the question..

..Emma cries a lot..

..then finally says yes!!
